The Thua Thien – Hue Provincial Tourism Department recently launched a photo and video contest entitled ‘Hue in my heart’.

Taking place from April to December this year, all Vietnamese citizens at home and abroad as well as foreigners who are living and working in Vietnam are eligible for the contest, with no age limitation.

In the photo category, each contestant is allowed to submit between five and ten single photos while entrants of the video category must send a video lasting no longer than three minutes.

The organising board has designated a specific topic for each month’s event, including ‘Hue – The Kingdom of Ao Dai’, ‘The most beautiful places to check-in in Hue’, ‘Hue – The city of festivals’, ‘Beautiful beaches in Hue’, ‘Traditional craft villages in Hue’, and ‘The land of Heritages’, among others.

The topics will be revealed at the beginning of each month via website http://visithue.vn. The organising board will present one first, one second and one third prize in each category each month, with a total cash prize of VND20,000 million.

The contest aims to promote the natural landscapes and cultural heritages of the province to domestic and foreign visitors, thus stimulating tourism demand after being badly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
