The nation’s largest music event, the Monsoon Music Festival (MMF), is set to participate in the ASEAN Music Showcase Festival 2021 as one of newcomers alongside Cambodia, in an event which will be held virtually between September 11 and September 13.
The second edition of the ASEAN Music Showcase Festival will be broadcast live on YouTube on September 11 and September 12, with a virtual meeting set to be held on September 13. It is anticipated that the occasion will provide an opportunity for artists to meet, exchange, and boost their co-operation across the global music industry.
The festival will see the participation of seven countries from throughout the region, including Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand, in addition to newcomers Vietnam and Cambodia.
Regional artists will also produce 30-minute music videos that will subsequently be premiered live on the dates of the showcase via a video streaming platform, with details of this being announced in the future.
The Monsoon Music Festival will therefore represent the nation at the ASEAN Music Showcase 2021.
The local event directed by musician Quoc Trung is held annually each autumn in Hanoi, featuring live performances on stage and covering a diverse range of genres.
