According to the Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV), Skytrax has announced the World Airport Awards in 2021, in which Tan Son Nhat was honoured in the top 10 of the world’s best airports serving 20-25 million passengers per year.
This result is based on a survey of infrastructure, service and staff quality, as well as check-in processes of more than 500 airports worldwide.
Vu The Phiet, General Director of ACV said that this is a source of encouragement for Tan Son Nhat airport staff as well as ACV, who are striving to implement COVID-19 prevention and control measures to ensure the safety and health of passengers while improving service quality.
With an aviation industry heavily damaged by the epidemic, in 2020, Tan Son Nhat airport still served more than 22 million passengers, including 2.8 million international arrivals.
With the largest passenger volume in the country, Tan Son Nhat is an important travel gateway in the region. Since 2019, it has invested, upgraded and renovated various items to improve service quality and better meet the needs of passengers.
It has been awarded the Airport Health Accreditation (AHA) certificate by the Airports Council International (ACI) as among those best ensuring safe anti-epidemic procedures in their operations.
