Sustainable development
In some recent years, the plans on surveying and calling investment in exploitation the following tourist routes: Ham Thuan - Da Mi, Dai Ninh, Bien Lac – Thac Ba, Tan Thanh – La Gi have contributed to the development of Binh Thuan tourism sector.
Associated with the development of region/area, the authorities of Binh Thuan tourism have signed and implemented the programs of linking, cooperating and developing Binh Thuan – Ho Chi Minh tourism and the tourism development triangle of Ho Chi Minh City – Lam Dong – Binh Thuan. Additionally, in the coming time, the development linking programs to other big tourist centers across the country such as: Ha Noi, Da Nang, Hue, Nha Trang, Vung Tau, etc… are going to be implemented. Besides, the provincial authorities continue to perfect the overall planning of urban zones development on Long Son – Suoi Nuoc, the general planning of Phan Thiet city in 2025, Tan Thanh urban area accompanied with Tien Thanh commune…
From 2012, Binh Thuan tourism continues to implement the resolution on tourism development to 2015 with the aims of promoting tourism to develop fast and sustainably, attracting more and more tourists and building Phan Thiet a tourist city, in which, attaching special importance to attracting international visitors as well as to creating attractive products for them to stay longer, spend more and return Binh Thuan for more than 3 times. In the phase of 2011-2015, Binh Thuan is striving to achieve the growth rate of over 12% visitors per year (international visitors increase over 15% per year), tourism revenue rises over 20% per year; in addition, up to 2015, Binh Thuan can attract at least 4.500.000 turns of visitors (in which, there are 500,000 turns of foreign visitors), gaining the turnover of more than VND 7,500 billion.
Environmental protection associated with the community’s responsibility
Currently, Binh Thuan tourism which is identified as a key economic sector in the local economic structure, contributes to promoting the socioeconomic development.
According to Mr. Ngo Minh Chinh - director of Binh Thuan Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism, besides contributing to the local budget, Binh Thuan tourism sector has also created positive changes such as: dealing with employments; guaranteeing safety, public order and security; ensuring the freshness of natural and social environment; contributing to preserving and bringing into play national character; enhancing cultural and spiritual life for people from all walks of life. In the forthcoming time, the tourism sector will continuously raise the awareness of tourism together with environmental protection and heighten the public responsibility in the environmental preservation.
Celebrating the 52nd anniversary of the Vietnam Tourism Industry (July 9, 1960 –July 9, 2012) and implementing strategic objectives for Vietnam tourism development until 2020 with a vision toward 2030, Binh Thuan tourism continues to speed up the activities of advertising the destination image as well as propagating the role of tourism and the environmental protection associated with the responsibility of the community.
After 17 years of establishment, orientation, striving and developing sustainably, today Binh Thuan place-name is gradually becoming a friendly, attractive and safe destination.
