Embassy of Denmark to open Vietnamese painting exhibition

An exhibition including 26 specially selected paintings from an array of genres by Vietnamese artists will be opened at the Embassy of Denmark, 19 Dien Bien Phu, from August 30 to February 2014.

The Danish Embassy project to promote Vietnamese paintings was set up in 2002. The selected works had been exhibited in the opening of first project in Jun 2013.

The initiative of Danish Embassy has contributed to promoting the works of Vietnamese artists and broadening art knowledge.

The paintings are expected to be displayed for 6 months. The embassy will hold a meeting to promote and introduce to the public selected works and artists involved in the project.

Five of the art pieces are from celebrated Pham Luc, generously contributed from Nguyen Si Dung’s private collection, and three are the renowned works of Ngo Chinh.

The artists participating in the exhibition include: Ngo Chinh, Pham Luc, Hoang Thi My Yen, Le Thi Minh Tam, Nguyen Quynh Na, Trinh Minh Tien, Nguyen Duc Dan, Pham Duy Quynh, Nguyen Khanh Toan, Vu Cuong, Hoang Tung, Truong The Linh, Nguyen Xuan Chien, Nguyen Dinh Duy Quyen, Dang Viet Linh and Nguyen Quoc Thang./.
