than 200 delegates from 17 regional countries are attending the Asian Wetlands
Symposium 2008 in Hanoi to share information and experiences in
wetlands management.

Thanks to the efforts of a local tourism company, a coral reef in Nha Trang is being successfully rehabilitated. The coral reef is east of Hon Lao Island in Khanh Hoa province and it has recovered an area of 4ha, close to its original size.
A flock of 126 red-headed cranes have returned to Tram Chim National Park in the Mekong Delta after six months of migration. The park’s deputy director Nguyen Van Hung said the flock, including 24 baby birds, has increased by nearly 100 birds compared with eight years ago.
