Vietnam attends the Lancang-Mekong Tourist Cities Cooperation Alliance Conference and Mayors’ Forum on Culture and Tourism

(TITC) - The Vietnamese delegation led by Mr. Ha Van Sieu, Vice Chairman of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism attended the Lancang-Mekong Tourist Cities Cooperation Alliance Conference and Mayors’ Forum on Culture and Tourism, through online platform on October 21, 2021.

The event aims to achieve further progress on the consensus during the 3rd Lancang-Mekong Cooperation Leaders’ Meeting, the 6th Lancang - Mekong Cooperation Foreign Ministers' Meeting, deepen further cooperation mechanisms between Mekong tourist cities and discuss solutions to revive the regional culture and tourism industries in the post-pandemic era.

At the Lancang-Mekong Mayors’ Forum on Culture and Tourism, the delegates from tourist cities conducted in-depth discussions on the three main themes of post-pandemic tourism recovery and safety coordination mechanism among regional cities, Lancang-Mekong cities cooperation and internationalisation, and tourism development and rural poverty reduction, respectively.

During the meeting, the representative of Ho Chi Minh City discussed the cooperation among the regional countries to establish the safe system and revive the tourism industry in the post-COVID-19 period. The representative of Ha Noi City highlighted tourism development with poverty reduction in rural areas.
