MOCST checks the preparations for welcoming international tourists to Khanh Hoa

(TITC) - On November 22, the delegation of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MOCST) led by Deputy Minister Doan Van Viet checked the implementation of preparatory activities for welcoming international tourists to Khanh Hoa Province.

The delegation had participation of the Chairman of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT), Mr. Nguyen Trung Khanh, and representatives of VNAT’s functional departments.

According to the report of the Khanh Hoa provincial People's Committee, the province has issued a comprehensive plan to implement the ministry’s Provisional Guideline on piloting to welcome international visitors to Khanh Hoa.

Up to 14th November, 98.5% of the population over 18 years old in Khanh Hoa have received 1 doses of Covid-19 vaccine, 90.9% have been full vaccinated.

Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism organized an interdisciplinary inspection team, including representatives of the Department of Health and the District People's Committees to survey the plan to welcome international tourists, plan to handle medical incidents arising in the localities.

In particular, the Department of Tourism has arranged a hotline number *2258 with staff directly receiving information to support tourists 24/24. The Department of Health shall arrange the phone number of the district-level medical center to promptly receive and handle arisen cases.

Cam Ranh International Airport, Cam Ranh International Terminal Jsc. have had plan   to welcome tourists safely according to the instructions of the Ministry of Health.

Up to now, Khanh Hoa chosed 35 establishments to welcome international tourists with "vaccine passports" including 24 tourist accommodation establishments in Cam Ranh, 6 tourist attractions, 1 shopping, 4 travel and transport agencies.

Deputy Minister Doan Van Viet suggested that tourism service providers need to carefully prepare plans to respond and handle when medical incidents occur. At the same time, they organize training for staff and workers, both ensure safety and create sympathy for tourists. Accommodation facilities provide instructions for tourists to self-test, avoid wearing medical protective gear when welcoming tourists, and assist guests in Covid-19 testing.

Also within this framework, the delegation checked the service quality and preparation for serving international tourists of Cam Ranh Riviera Beach Resort & Spa, Alma Resort Cam Ranh, Fusion Resort Cam Ranh, Radisson Blu Resort Cam Ranh.
