Vietnam fully reopens international flights from Feb. 15

(TITC) - From February 15, 2022, Vietnam will remove restrictions on passenger transport on regular and irregular flights; Passengers entering Vietnam must comply with current regulations on immigration and medical control, according to Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV).

CAAV’s information is officially notified to the aviation authorities of the countries and territories.

Thus, from February 15, there will be no restriction on the frequency of regular international passenger flights entering Vietnam. Regulations on entry and pandemic prevention still follow the instructions of the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Ministry of Health. The actual exploitation frequency depends on the regulations of the aviation authorities of the countries and territories and the market demand.

Fully reopen air is a favorable condition for the tourism industry to fully reopen international tourism market under the direction of the Prime Minister.

Previously, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism had proposed to the Prime Minister, to completely open inbound and outbound tourism through all international border gates from March 31, 2022.

Strengthen negotiations to increase the number of countries and territories that recognize the Vietnam Vaccine Certificate. Increasing frequency, connecting regular international commercial routes, especially direct flights from international markets sending tourists to Vietnam’s top tourist destinations.
