DPM. Vu Duc Dam agreed with the MOCST proposal to fully resume tourism activities from 15th March

(TITC) - On 16th February, The Government Office issued a document announcing the conclusion of Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam at the meeting with ministries, agencies and sectors on discussion to resume tourism activities.

Thereby, the DPM. Vu Duc Dam agreed with the proposal of Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and opinions of ministries and agencies on the time to reopen tourism in the new normal in accordance with directions of the Government, the Prime Minister on “flexible, safety adaptation and effectively control the COVID-19 pandemic” from 15 March 2022.

The DPM asked the MOCST to chair and associate with relevant ministries and agencies on unifying contents and regulations on welcoming international visitors; finalise and urgently announce the plan to reopen tourism, with detailed instructions for units and localities to actively organise and implement.

The MOCST has to have a specific working session with the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and relevant ministries and sectors to urgently report to the Government and the Prime Minister on the details of visa policies applicable to international tourists entering into Vietnam.
