(TITC) - Quang Nam Province has put all the attention to preparing the Visit Vietnam Year 2022 event under the theme “Quang Nam - A green tourism destination”. In the framework of the opening ceremony of the Visit Vietnam Year 2022, it is expected to present 10 exclusive and attractive activities in many localities in Quang Nam Province with the highlight, pervasiveness and sustainable development features.
Accordingly, the opening ceremony will be held on the evening of 25th March 2022 at Hoi An Memories Island and will be live on VTV1 of Vietnam Television and Quang Nam Radio Television with the duration of 90 minutes. A grandstand with a capacity of 3,000 seats, Quang Nam Province papered out 2 options for guests: 1,000 delegates (Level 1) or 700 delegates (Level 2).
It is expected that before, during and after the opening ceremony, there are about 10 activities such as: Experiencing cultural festival space at Hoi An Impression Theme Park, Quang Origin Market, painting exhibition, kite flying, souvenir booths, folk games. Traditional craft demonstrations (lanterns, pottery, carpentry, bronze casting…); the first Regional Traditional Craft Festival; “Ancient features of Hoi An ‘’ show; Opening of Cam Phu Community Tourism Village, Go Noi (Dien Ban Town)…
With the theme “Quang Nam - A green tourism destination”, many activities aimed at green tourism were organised by Quang Nam Province on the occasion of the opening of the Visit Vietnam Year, such as: Quang Nam green tourism development workshop; Tour to experience green tourism products in Quang Nam Province; The announcement ceremony of Green Tourism week, etc... At My Son Sanctuary, “The legendary of My Son Night” show with many premium activities will be introduced to visitors such as: Folk music and culinary experience show, along with a variety of activities to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between India and Vietnam.
Besides the creation of the script and preparation for art performances at the opening night, Quang Nam Province is implementing promotion, reception, logistics, etc. Especially, preparing carefully the tasks in ensuring security, safety, hygiene and environment; implementing measures to prevent and control the COVID-19 pandemic…
Mr. Tran Van Tan - Vice Chairman of Quang Nam Provincial People’s Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Organisation Board of the Visit Vietnam Year - Quang Nam 2022, said, the opening ceremony of the Visit Vietnam Year - Quang Nam 2022 holding an important meaning as this is an opening event in the series of the Visit Vietnam Year events, aiming to introduce and promote cultural and historical values, tourism resources and products, promote, recover and develop the tourism industry of the whole country in general and Quang Nam Province in particular after suffering the severe impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. By means of the opening ceremony, it is expected to draw the attention of both domestic and international tourists to Quang Nam, Vietnam. At the same time, it promotes connection and cooperation in tourism development among provinces and cities; creating favourable conditions to lure investments to develop tourism, improving the position, image of the country and people of Vietnam in general; the land, people and tourism of Quang Nam Province in particular in both domestic and international tourists' eyes.
Quang Nam Province will also host about more than 50 activities to respond to this event under 6 themes including: Spring trip to Quang Nam (January - March 2022); River, agriculture tourism and OCOP products (April - June 2022); Chu Lai meeting point tourism (April - September 2022); tourism of ethnic group culture and the legendary Ho Chi Minh road (May - August 2022); Quang Nam - Summer emotions (May - September 2022); Tourism - Heritage colours (September - December 2022). Besides, there are 5 cultural and sports exchange activities such as: Korean Culture Days in Hoi An; Taekwondo Championship of Leading clubs Korean Ambassador Cup; “Hoi An Discovery Marathon 2022” competition (April 2022); The 18th Hoi An - Japan Cultural Exchange (August 2022); Activities to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Laos and Vietnam (September 2022).
In addition, Quang Nam Province will closely coordinate with the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT), the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MOCST) as well as provinces and cities across the country to organise several of activities in response to the Visit Vietnam Year 2022, in order to contribute attracting domestic and international tourists to Quang Nam in particular and to Vietnam in general.
According to the plan, the closing ceremony will be held at the end of December 2022 at Vinpearl Nam Hoi An (Thang Binh District).
