The request was made by Vice Chairman of the city People’s Committee Le Khac Nam during a working session with leaders of the district and functional sectors and units on March 23.
He noted that the reopening of tourism must be done in line with the prevention and control of COVID-19 pandemic in order to ensure the highest safety for locals and visitors.
Following the Government’s guideline on reopening tourism, the Hai Phong City People’s Committee has directed Cat Hai District’s leaders to work closely with functional departments, sectors and units to reopen sea tourism activities in 2022.
As a result, the district has stepped up its communication activities to advertise the locality’s places of interest, such as the Cat Ba Biosphere Reserve and Lan Ha Bay.

According to statistics, from when Vietnam officially reopened inbound and outbound tourism on March 15 until March 21, Cat Ba welcomed 5,000 visitors, nearly 2,000 of whom spent their vacations on boats in the Cat Ba archipelago.
