With the agreement of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City and the Ministry of National Defence, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, coordinated with Military Hospital 175 and the Southern Vietnam Helicopter Company to organise a survey flight to develop the "Viewing Ho Chi Minh City from above" tourism product by helicopter, on April 12.

The programme was attended by five leading travel businesses in Ho Chi Minh City.
The product is expected to be built by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism in collaboration with Military Hospital 175, Southern Helicopter Company and tourism businesses in Ho Chi Minh City. In particular, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism connects leading tourism businesses across the country to build tourism products suitable for customers from markets and organise communication and promotion products.
Military Hospital 175 supports the helipad and medical safety for passengers on flights; the Southern Vietnam Helicopter Company is responsible for flight schedules, flight safety, and flight regulations according to the Ministry of Defence regulations.
The "Viewing Ho Chi Minh City from above" product is expected to have a 45-minute or 60-minute tour product.
Specifically, the product with a flight time from 30-45 minutes includes two flight routes: flying to see the Ho Chi Minh City centre and the other flying to see the Ho Chi Minh City centre and Can Gio.
Meanwhile, other products with a flight time of about 60 minutes, will have a route connecting Ho Chi Minh City and Long An along two paths: Ho Chi Minh City Centre - The eco-tourism area “Canh dong bat tan" (Endless field) in Long An province and Can Gio (Ho Chi Minh City) - The eco-tourism area “Canh dong bat tan".
"Viewing Ho Chi Minh City from above" product is a new and unique product, launched in Ho Chi Minh City for the first time. It is expected to be put into operation on the occasion of the 47th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975- 2022) right after the city launches the programme entitled “Welcome to Ho Chi Minh City”.
Launching this new tourism product will help Ho Chi Minh City's tourism industry attract domestic and international tourists to the city, meeting the needs of tourists, including high-class guests and MICE (Meeting, Incentive, Conference, Event) travellers.
This is the first product in a series of new and unique products that the city's tourism industry is developing to attract tourists and take the lead in the international market when reopening tourism during normal conditions, aiming to develop Ho Chi Minh City into a leading lively tourist city of Asia.
