The programme is set to be applied to international arrivals at the central city’s airport and will last until June.
On April 20, the first 150 foreigners on Singapore Airlines’ SQ172 flight and Thai Vietjet Air’s VZ960 were gifted Vinaphone SIM cards at a ceremony held by the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Center, the Da Nang International Terminal Investment and Operation Joint Stock Company, and VNPT Da Nang.
Nguyen Thi Hoai An, deputy director of the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Centre, said that the meaningful gift will help foreign tourists easily search information about the city, as well as promoting the image of Da Nang as a safe, friendly, and hospitable destination for travelers.
Da Nang has resumed many international air routes after the government reopened borders to foreign tourists in mid-March. A number of flights from Singapore, Japan, Thailand, and Malaysia are set to arrive in Da Nang, with a frequency of 41 flights per week.
