Ministry of Trade and Industry awards the Sheraton Hanoi Hotel for it’s Environmental Excellence. The award recognizes Industries which have implemented exceptional diverse initiatives, outstanding programs and comprehensive applications towards energy saving.
In achieving the prestigious award, Sheraton Hanoi Hotel committed to benchmarking its energy and water consumption, total waste production and community commitment; along with implementing an integrated environmental and social policy.
Managed by Starwood Hotels & Resorts Inc, Sheraton Hanoi Hotel is one of the first International hotels to introduce the innovative environmental technology for saving energy in Vietnam. Additional cost does not deter the Hotel management from “Going Green for Guests”. Chief Engineer Nguyen Van Chinh and his dedicated team has researched and practiced the measures for years resulting in huge investments made by the hotel Management and the Owning Company. The hotel is constantly looking to improve on its already succinct eco-friendly processes and encourage guests to support the initiatives as well as strongly driving the 3R programme of Recycling, Reuse and Reduce.
