According to data from Destination Insights with Google, a Google’s new tool providing data about travel trends around the world, search volume of Vietnamese people for domestic destinations has sharply increased in June, 2022, with a booming growth rate of 500 percent compared to the same period of last year.

Ho Chi Minh city is the top destination, followed by Phu Quoc, Da Nang, Ha Noi, Da Lat, Nha Trang, Vung Tau, Phan Thiet, Quy Nhon and Hue. Phan Thiet city (Binh Thuan province) ranked the 8th on top 10 most-searched and popular cities by Vietnamese visitors. The number of tourists coming to Phan Thiet has continuously increased since May 2022, especially on weekend. Mui Ne has been the top choice for domestic travellers in this summer vacation. Room reservation at hotels, resorts with 3-star-ranking and above reached over 80%.
Reports from the provincial Statistics Office, Binh Thuan received about 492,000 turns of visitors in June, 2022, including 5,200 turns of international tourists, with the monthly tourism revenue achieved nearly VND 900 billion.
