An art programme themed “Independence Star – heroic Vietnam” was held at the Hanoi Opera House on August 28, aiming to praise the eternal and immortal values of the nation.

The event was attended by Politburo members: President of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council Nguyen Xuan Thang and Secretary of the Hanoi municipal Party Committee Dinh Tien Dung, among others.
The event took place as part of the activities celebrating the 77th anniversary of August Revolution (August 19) and National Day (September 2).
The programme was divided into two parts, with songs featuring the history of national defence and praising the victories for national independence.
In addition, two reportages were published, titled “The country of heroes” and “The heroes of the new era”, highlighting the cause of national construction and defence.
The art programme drew the participation of many famous singers and artists including singer Trong Tan, Meritorious Artist Dang Duong, and Meritorious Artist Tan Minh.
Gifts and saving books presented to revolutionary veterans.
On the occasion, savings books were presented to 20 revolutionary veterans, heroic Vietnamese mothers, Heroes of the People's Armed Forces, and wounded and sick soldiers.
