Cuc Phuong National Park has a half-covered karst terrain, with a beautiful cave system with great archaeological value such as Son Cung cave, Pho Ma Giang cave, etc. The rocky outcrops of Cuc Phuong form the site of valuable pale ontological and anthropological vestiges. The remains of prehistoric people who lived in the forest some 7,500 to 12,000 years ago are also to be found in Dang Cave and Moong Cave. In 2000, a fossilised sea reptile dated at 200 - 230 million years old was discovered.

The landscape of Cuc Phuong contains a wonderfully rich ecosystem. It is a famous destination not to be missed with tourists who love experiential travel and wild nature. Going on a tour to discover Cuc Phuong forest, visitors can walk or cycle in the primaeval forest; watching wildlife at night; observing reptiles, amphibians and insects; learning about the local ethnic community; visiting the Primate Rescue Centre, the first carnivore and pangolin conservation education centre in Vietnam, visit the ancient and thousand-year-old tree, kayaking… All are tourism activities that are associated with ecological and natural environment protection.
