At Singapore Airlines, Ms Lau Hui Ling, General Manager of Brand and Marketing, and Ms. Soraya Salim, Manager of Market Development and Media Planning, warmly received the Da Nang delegation.
Singapore is one of the key markets with large purchasing power in Southeast Asia. Before COVID-19, Singapore was always in the top 15 sources of international tourists, and the top 3 sources of Southeast Asian tourists, to Da Nang.
Ms. Lau Hui Ling said that Singapore Airlines has reopened flights to Da Nang with a frequency of 7 flights per week. She revealed that the airlines plans to expand its air routes in the coming time, and at the same time, to coordinate with the city to conduct tourism promotion activities and open new air routes to such markets as Australia, India, and Indonesia. In the immediate future, the two sides will make specific plans to promote the potential tourism market in Australia.
For his part, Vice Chairman Tran Phuoc Son highly lauded Singapore Airlines' efforts in resuming and maintaining the Singapore - Da Nang air route. Singapore Airlines is also the first airline to reopen direct international flights to Da Nang on March 27, added he.
He noted Da Nang is blessed with a favourable geographical position as being the central point connecting UNESCO World Heritages and the end point of the East-West Economic Corridor, making it very convenient for connecting and developing air routes and air logistics services as well. Moreover, the city also has its own policy to encourage MICE tourism.
Mr. Son suggested the Singapore Airlines study and expand service activities in Da Nang, as well as continue to cooperate and support Da Nang to promote its tourism on the media channels of Singapore Airlines, and organise famtrip and presstrip delegations from Singapore, European countries, Australia, and the US to Da Nang in the near future.
He also asked a helping hand from the Singapore Airlines to connect and invite travel firms to participate in the Viet Nam Tourism Fair slated to be held in Da Nang in December 2022.

During his meeting with representatives from the Asian Development Tour company on October 1, Vice Chairman Tran Phuoc Son informed that his city is targeting a source of high-spending visitors, and to develop high-quality tourism and services associated with resort real estate with the aim of turning itself into a hub of tourism and high-quality services.
He remarked the cooperation with the Asian Development Tour to organise the Asian Development Golf Tournament from 2022 -2024 will help to affirm the city’s golf tourism brand on the golf tourism map of the region and the world. He hoped that golf tournaments in the next 3 years will attract more high-level golfers to Da Nang.
Mr. Son took the opportunity to ask for support from the Asian Development Tour to promote Da Nang's golf courses, organise famtrip and presstrip delegations to learn about the potential of golf tourism in Da Nang, and invite KOLs to introduce and promote Da Nang tourism on media channels.
He also assigned the municipal Department of Tourism to act as the focal point to coordinate with the Asian Development Tour to implement cooperation activities, with the BRG Group and VGS Company to soon prepare and mobilize sponsorship for the Asian Development Golf Tournament in 2023.
Mr. David Rollo, Managing Director of the Asian Development Tour, said that Da Nang is qualified to host regional and international-scale golf tournaments. He suggested that in the immediate future, the city should host a golf tournament under the Asian Tour brand with a prize value of millions of USD.
He also proposed that the city should join the network of Asian Tour destinations, thereby introducing the potential of its golf tourism to the top golfers in Asia.
