Eco-villa area south of Hai Van Tunnel: Opening up a new urban development pole in Da Nang

The environmental impact assessment for the VND1,370 billion, 972,340m2 eco-villa area project west of the bypass to the south of the Hai Van Tunnel is underway. The development of this urban area opens an urban development pole for the city.

Under the Da Nang Master Plan for its major developments to 2030, with a vision to 2045, the city focuses on calling for investment in order to maximise its potential and advantages for rapid and sustainable development. At the same time, the city strives to turn itself into a liveable city so as to attract more human resources and financial resources.

The eco-villa area project west of the bypass to the south of the Hai Van Tunnel aims to prepare for the planning, construction and expansion of the core area of ​​ Da Nang to the west and northwest to develop new urban and residential areas along both sides of the bypass to the south of the Hai Van Tunnel. From here, the complete construction of new urban areas with full technical infrastructure and standard housing areas will help promote the city’s socio-economic development and meet the increasing demands for life in Hoa Vang District and suburban areas of the city.

Located in the communes of Hoa Nhon and Hoa Son, Hoa Vang District, the project is in line with the city's urban development planning to meet the increasing demands for tourism, commerce, services, and entertainment and sports activities.

The project land boundary consists of 2 locations. Covering an area of 519,575 m2, the first location borders residential land to the north, extended Hoang Van Thai Street to the south, the bypass to the south of the Hai Van Tunnel to the west, and drainage lines to the east.

Meanwhile, the second location has an area of ​​452,729 m2, and it borders extended Hoang Van Thai Street to the north, hills and mountains to the south, drainage sewers to the west, and the 220kV power transmission line to the east.

The intention of the project is to develop an ecological urban area with a synchronous technical and social infrastructure system according to the approved detailed planning and project schedule, ensuring synchronous connection with surrounding infrastructure.

Also, it will feature houses for sale and lease purchase, as well as will implement transfer land use rights to people to build their own houses in appropriate areas according to the provisions of law. In particular, there will be a total of 2,461 housing units, 1,952 adjacent townhouses, 115 villas, and 394 apartment units.

Invested by the Olympia Company Limited and the Sun Group JSC, the project is scheduled to be carried out from 2023 to 2025, and it is slated to be put into use in 2026.
