(TITC) - On 28th October, the direct flight from Taipei (China), landed at Da Nang International Airport, carried the very first Taiwanese passengers coming to the city post the Covid-19.

The flight number JX701 operated by Starlux Airlines departed from Taipei at 7:35 a.m. and landed in Da Nang at 9:25 a.m.
Mr. Roger Yen, Chief Representative of Starlux in Vietnam said, from now until the end of November 2022, the Airline will operate an average of three flights per week between Da Nang - Taipei, and may increase the frequency of operation in December if the number of passengers recover quickly.
Da Nang has always been one of the most attractive tourist destinations. Therefore, it is expected that the flights will be operated with maximum capacity to meet the needs of this passenger market.
The first passengers from Taipei were welcomed by the Danang Centre for Tourism Promotion with flowers and souvenir gifts at the airport.
According to Tuoi Tre online, Ms. Miko, a passenger on the direct flight from Taipei said she was thrilled with the warm welcome from the city tourism industry. Da Nang is a new destination in Southeast Asia, so the group decided to choose as the first destination when Taiwan allowed the opening of international tourism. According to Miko, the group will stay in Da Nang for 5 days and visit a number of famous spots such as Ba Na Hills, Linh Ung Pagoda, My Khe Beach and Dragon Bridge.
The Danang Centre for Tourism Promotion stated that the restoration of the direct flight route from Taiwan to Da Nang is a positive result from promotion activities to reconnect the traditional international tourist markets, increase the number of international visitors to Da Nang in the last months of 2022.
