Ha Noi Tourism Ao Dai Festival to take place on December 2022

(TITC) - According to the Ha Noi City People’s Committee, the Ha Noi Tourism Ao Dai Festival will take place in 3 days, from 2nd to 4th December 2022, at Hoan Kiem Lake pedestrian street.

The main venue of the Festival will be set at Ba Kieu Temple area along Dinh Tien Hoang Street to the intersection between Dinh Tien Hoang, Hang Khay, Trang Tien, Hang Bai streets. The Festival includes the exhibition of Ao Dai in the space of Ly Thai To Monument.

The Opening ceremony will take place from 8pm to 9.30pm on 2nd December, at Ba Kieu Temple area. The ceremony includes 3 programmes: "Traditions and history of Ao Dai in the timeline with Ha Noi, with Hue, and Ho Chi Minh City"; "Vietnamese Ao Dai as an endless resource in tourism, a product of the crystallisation of traditional heritage, indigenous culture and modern creativity”, which offers shows of travel, accommodation, culinary brands, ao dai collections of airlines, hotels, restaurants; "Ao Dai - Cultural beauty, a symbol of the beauty and soul of Vietnamese women, and bringing the style and soul of Vietnamese and Hanoians to friends and international tourists from five continents with the performance of ao dai by domestic and international models".

According to the Ha Noi City Department of Tourism, the organisation of Hanoi Tourism Ao Dai Festival 2022 is one of the activities supporting the recovery and development of the capital tourism post Covid-19. At the same time, joining hands to preserve and develop traditional cultural values of the nation; promoting and honouring the traditional ao dai of the Vietnamese people as a source of creativity and a product of unique and effective forms of tourism.

It is also considered as a great opportunity to promote Ao Dai in 3 regions North - Central - South; promote, introduce, exchange, cooperate, sign and develop together between Ha Noi's tourism businesses and ao dai fashion designers, artisans and artists.
