(TITC) - Travel+Leisure published the list of destinations according to the Pantone’s 2023 Colour of the Year - Viva Magenta. The capital of Vietnam, Ha Noi, is one of the destinations where visitors can see this colour in real life.
Pantone has set their intentions for this year, 2023, Viva Magenta, which is being described as powerful and empowering. The Viva Magenta colour shows the brave and fearless, a pulsating colour whose exuberance promotes a joyous and optimistic celebration… This year’s colour will be full of pure joy, a source of encouragement and self-expression without restraint, stated Pantone.
This shade of red purple-ish colour can be spotted in a number of destinations around the world, from the Netherlands to Vietnam.
In short, visitors can spot this vibrant colour in Quang Phu Cau, the incense village, on the outskirts of Ha Noi. Quang Phu Cau Village has been making incense for over 100 years and it is one of the largest incense making villages of Vietnam.

Since the Lunar New Year celebration (Tet Nguyen Dan holiday, in other words) is nearby, visitors will find hundreds of bright-pink incense sticks fanned out like bouquets along the streets and courtyards, along the way to Quang Phu Cau Village.

Tet Nguyen Dan often falls in late January or early February. Tet is an opportunity for family reunions, for most Vietnamese. Every home has an altar for honouring ancestors, and families burn the pink-colored incense to invite deities and ancestors to gather.
Mysore (India), Dubai (UAE), Keukenhof flower garden (Netherlands), Santorini Island (Greece), Cape Town (South Africa), Iceland, Cusco (Peru), Ria Formosa National Park (Portugal), Havana (Cuba) are other destinations where visitors will find the Viva Magenta Colour.
