(TITC) - On 5th February, the ASEAN Forum Tourism (ATF) 2023 officially came to an end in Indonesia, with several activities happening in 4 days.

There were Ministers, Deputy Ministers in charge of tourism, leaders of tourism organisations of ASEAN countries, partners, international organisations, regional and international press reporters attended the Closing Ceremony.
Took place from 2nd to 5th February, the Vietnamese delegation with the lead of Mr. Doan Van Viet, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MOCST), along with the presence of Mr. Ha Van Sieu, Vice Chairman of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT), leaders of departments and units under MOCST and VNAT attended a series of Meetings and side events of the ATF 2023, such as: The 26th Meeting of ASEAN Tourism Ministers; the 22nd Meeting of the ASEAN+3; the 10th Meeting of the ASEAN-India Tourism Ministers; the 2nd Meeting of the ASEAN-Russia Tourism Ministers; bilateral meetings with Chinese, Indian and Philippines delegations, Traveloka, Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), the US-ASEAN Business Council (US-ABC), etc.

At this year’s ATF, the Vietnamese delegation attended the Travel Expo (TRAVEX) with The Vietnam Tourism Booth aims to promote the proactive integration of ASEAN, demonstrating the active member role of the Regional Economic Communities (RECs); introduce a number of new tourism development policies to promote attracting international visitors to Vietnam; At the same time, promoting the tourism brand "Vietnam - Timeless Charm" and the campaign "Live fully in Vietnam" with outstanding values and 4 main tourist product lines, conveying the message - Vietnam is a safe, friendly and attractive destination to the ASEAN community, partner countries and friends around the world.

The Vietnam Tourism Booth has an area of 54m2, including 8 standard counters of businesses and 1 central counter of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, local travel agencies. In particular, the highlight at the booth was the communication activities about the “Visit Vietnam Year 2023 - Binh Thuan”.
Also on this occasion, took place the ASEAN Tourism Award, to honour 14 Vietnamese units of many categories, including: ASEAN Homestay; ASEAN Community-based tourism; ASEAN public toilets; ASEAN Spa Services.

ATF 2023 has officially come to an end with the great efforts promoting the message “A Journey to Wonderful Destinations”, affirming the recovery of ASEAN tourism and the readiness to welcome back international visitors and has an ability to adapt and compete to be one of the wonderful destinations in the world. With great hope to the tourism industry to leverage ASEAN's position as a powerful, peaceful, reliable region and become an important economic bloc of the world.
As per schedule, the ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) 2024 will take place in Laos.
