TPO Regional Meeting 2023 for Vietnamese members with the theme “Green Convergence”

(TITC) - On 17th March 2023, in Vung Tau City, the Regional Meeting of Tourism Promotion Organization for Asian-Pacific Cities for Vietnamese members took place with the theme “Green Convergence”.

The representatives of provinces and cities of Vietnam being TPO members attended the event to discuss solutions to develop sustainable and green tourism. Mr. Woo Kyungha, Secretary-General of the Tourism Promotion Organization for Asian-Pacific Cities (TPO) chaired the Meeting.

Speaking at the Meeting, Chairman of Vung Tau City People’s Committee Hoang Vu Thanh said, being the host of the TPO Meeting for Vietnamese members, Vung Tau City hopes to promote the "Green - Clean - Beautiful" journey, tourism products, and specialties of the city. The support and connection from TPO members promote cooperation and promotion of Vung Tau City to TPO members as well as strength of investment and development cooperation between Vung Tau City and other cities.

At the meeting, the members of TPO shared experiences, committing to green development goals; tourism becoming a spearhead economic sector; creating jobs, developing and sustainably preserving tourism resources.

In the framework of the Meeting, Vung Tau City organised an exhibition booth promoting services, typical attractions, and typical OCOP products of Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province.

8 Vietnamese members of TPO include: Vung Tau City (Ba Ria-Vung Tau), Da Lat (Lam Dong), Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong, Da Nang, Bac Ninh and Long An Province.
