Ecotourism and Biodiversity Festival in Sa Pa

(TITC) - On 8th April 2023, Sa Pa Town Youth Union in collaboration with Hoang Lien National Park, Center for Environment and Community Assets Development (CECAD) organized Ecotourism and Biodiversity Day, raising awareness and promote local products and celebrate the 120th anniversary of Sa Pa tourism.

The festival has 18 booths showing typical products of Sa Pa such as brocade, Traphaco products, honey, dried buffalo meat, smoked pig... beside of art cultural performances of the Mong, Dao and Giay ethnic groups.

At the event, the delegates exchanged and shared information to raise awareness of biodiversity for the tourism industry and promote local products; make tourism activities as catalyst for positive change in the conservation and use of ecosystem services; changing policies, business and consumer behavior in sustainable tourism, contributing to the overall development of the tourism industry in Sa Pa Town.

Also at the program, nearly 100 youth union members joined to clean the environment, collect waste on the streets of the town center; propagandize to raise awareness and responsibility of each youth union member, tourists and people about environmental protection and response to climate change.
