Wildlife trapping in Son Tra Peninsula reaches alarming high

According to a report released by the Son Tra - Ngu Hanh Son Forest Ranger Division, between January and March, the local forest ranger force conducted 74 patrols and discovered more than 380 animal traps of all kinds and 2 camps. They imposed administrative fine of VND 18 million in total on 2 trappers, and released three trapped wild animals back into the natural environment.

In recent years, the Son Tra Peninsula has seen a soar in the number of animal traps. Particularly in the first 3 months of 2022, local functional force detected 32 wild animal traps of all kinds. The skyrocketing number of traps on the peninsula has affected the fauna living here.
