Called “a miniature Vietnam”, Quang Ninh is endowed with the natural advantages of a 250-km coast and over 2,000 islands and islets. There are famous attractions like Ha Long Bay, the Yen Tu Monuments and Landscapes, the Tra Co tourism area, and Co To island. In recent years, tourists have been attracted to international standard resorts.
Le Trong Thanh, Deputy Director of the Tung Lam Development Company, the operator of Legacy Yen Tu Resort, said: “I’m very glad to welcome guests from India, China, Europe, and the US. Our services meet international standards. We anticipate serving more spending visitors from Japan and Taiwan (China). We’re developing new products to introduce at international travel fairs.”
Quang Ninh has organized special events to attract distinct groups of visitors. This year it will organize 200 tourism promotion events, including a Ha Long Carnival, an Off Road Car Racing Tournament, an International Women's Beach Volleyball Tournament, international friendly football matches, and the Miss International Tourism beauty pageant.

Some tourists shared their feelings: "This is the first time I’ve been to Quang Ninh. I’m enjoying the trip very much. The food is fresh and tasty. The landscape is beautiful.”
"Ha Long Bay is a famous destination. After a boat trip to explore the bay, I enjoyed exploring the pedestrian streets. The ocean air is fresh and pleasant. The streets are busy and bustling with many services. We will come back here many more times.”
Quang Ninh province is also known for its culture and festivals, such as the Yen Tu Festival, the Ba Vang Pagoda Festival, the Cua Ong Temple Festival, the Cherry Blossom Festival, and the So Flower (camellia oleifera) Festival in Binh Lieu.
Trinh Thi Thanh, a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City, said: “This is the first time I’ve been here and the first time I’ve seen So flowers, with their fragile white petals and yellow pistils, in the forest. This land is home to many ethnic groups with diverse cultures. I think Binh Lieu will be increasingly popular with tourists.”
Quang Ninh hopes to receive 15 million tourists this year, including 2 million foreigners, as it has strongly recovered from the pandemic.
Trinh Dang Thanh, Deputy Director of Quang Ninh’s Department of Tourism, said, “We have invited the ambassadors of many countries to visit Quang Ninh. Big businesses from other cities such as Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang send their guests to Quang Ninh. We often organize meetings with businesses to hear their opinions and promptly adjust our business practices.”
Renewing tourism products, enhancing connectivity, and expanding foreign markets are the measures being taken to make full use of local natural, cultural, and historical resources and create a tourism trademark for Quang Ninh.
