Experiencing many ups and downs of time, the products from the shawl weaving village in Long Khanh A commune, Hong Ngu district not only have cultural characteristics, but also provide a stable source of income for local people.
According to Long Khanh A Commune Weaving Cooperative, there are about 55 households doing shawl weaving, with more than 130 looms. Every year, the craft village provides nearly 02 million bandanas to the market. The bandanas of Long Khanh A shawl weaving village are presented and introduced by provincial leaders to partners and investors when they come to work in Dong Thap.
In recent years, people in the craft village have also invested in machinery in the weaving process to increase productivity. Not only weaving shawls, people also use shawls to make many other fashion accessories, attracting the attention of tourists. Currently, the craft village also welcomes many domestic and foreign tourists to visit and experience.
