Variety of Vietnamese dishes stand in the Top 100 Best Rated BREAKFASTS in the World

TasteAtlas published its 100 Best Rated Breakfasts in the World, including a variety of Vietnamese breakfast dishes, to introduce to worldwide friends.

Vietnamese Beef Stew (Bò kho)

Placing in no.7 of the list is Vietnamese Bò kho. This is a popular dish of Southern Vietnam. Normally it can be consumed on its own or with a baguette on the side or being served over noodles, and it is customary to serve a variety of fresh herbs on the side. Ingredients to make Vietnamese Bò kho include diced beef, carrots, lemongrass, cinnamon, chili, pepper, garlic, and shallots, all of them simmered in a spicy and aromatic broth..

Vietnamese Steak and Eggs (Bò né)

Bò né is a popular dish in Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa Province. It stands in no.53 of the list. It is a simple but delicious dish with skirt steak that's marinated in spices and served on a sizzling hot cast iron plate with fried eggs, onions, chilli sauce, and a dollop of pate.  Being served in a piping hot pan, people always have Bò né with a baguette, along with lettuce, onions, tomatoes, and cucumber. The meat is often dipped into a combination of pepper sauce, lime juice, and salt, while the baguette is used to pick up the remains of pate and egg yolks off the plate.

Hue Breakfast Noodle Soup (Bún bò Huế)

Hue - a city in the Central Vietnam, used to be the seat of Nguyen Dynasty emperors and once the national capital. The city is famous for its unique cuisine inherited from royal families. Bún bò Huế consists of pork and beef bones broth, bun (vermicelli), lemongrass, shrimp paste, lime juice, and a variety of herbs. It is a spicy soup dish and its flavour is often described as rich and complex. You might find some slight variations of Bún bò Huế but the usual additions will have sliced brisket or crab meat balls.

Steamed Rice Rolls Stuffed with Pork and Mushrooms (Bánh cuốn)

One of the traditional breakfasts in the capital city of Vietnam, Ha Noi, is Bánh cuốn. There are some versions of this dish, one with pork (banh cuon nhan thit), with mushroom, or both. Bánh cuốn is usually served with fried onions, sweet and sour fish sauce (nuoc mam chua ngot), a variety of fresh herbs, and lime-based sauce on the side.
