(TITC) - Editor Joyce Yang of CNA, an English language Asian news network of Singapore, posted a list of 10 nearby destinations in Asia to escape the intense heat in Singapore, including Sa Pa (Lao Cai Province), Ba Na Hills (Da Nang City) and Da Lat (Lam Dong Province) of Vietnam.
Summer is the season of scorching heat waves, sunshine with plenty of vitamin D and laundry has never dried faster in this weather. Despite buildings and shopping malls being equipped with air conditioning systems, Singaporeans cannot stop thinking about a quick escape to somewhere cooler.
Sa Pa

A remote mountainous town in northwestern Vietnam. The region is well known for its pristine rice terraces, cool mountainous surroundings, and ethnic minority community. Here, the temperature ranges from 11 degrees celsius to 24 degrees celsius. Get on a 6-hour bus ride from Ha Noi, Sa Pa welcomes visitors with cool air and lofty peaks. Let’s take a walk around to experience the local, visit waterfalls littered along guided treks and enjoy motorbike tours. For those who love adventure, you can conquer Southeast Asia’s rooftop, Fansipan. Visitors can take a hike or hop onboard a fancy funicular ride for the smug satisfaction of basking in the panoramic vistas without breaking a single bead of perspiration.

Another place to view the majestic view of Sa Pa is to catch the sunrise from the Glass Bottom Bridge, perched 2,200m above sea level.
Ba Na Hills, Da Nang

35 km away from the city centre of Da Nang, Ba Na Hills is a key tourist area in Da Nang. Ba Na Hills stands out with its European-inspired architecture, catching everyone’s eyes at the high altitudes, the place to take in the breath-taking view from a cable car. Ba Na Hills owes its fame to the iconic Golden Bridge, boasts 150 metres long (or 500-foot long) and 12.8 metres wide and has soon become a popular tourist landmark in the region since its launch in 2018.
Ba Na Hills is packed with restaurants, bars, and coffee shops, providing a respite from the bustling crowds.
Da Lat

Da Lat is the capital city of Lam Dong Province, Vietnam. Nestled in the lush Central Highlands of Vietnam, Da Lat is called by many names since it is one of the most romantic place in the world for honeymoon, namely City of thousands of pine trees with the specific sights are pine trees with twisting roads and tree marigold, cherry blossom in the winter; City of eternal spring since Spring is eternal and “unique season” in Da Lat; Little Paris (“Le Petit Paris” in French) due to its French architecture villas and its replica of the Eiffel Tower built by the Telephone Company that looks like it fell into a pool of red and white colour. Thrill-seekers will not be disappointed in Da Lat, as waterfall canyoning, high rope courses, and mountain bike trails await in its backyard. Visitors can practise farming skills in one of many vegetable gardens and work up an appetite for the farm-to-table experiences.
