The northern province of Bac Kan has earmarked VND 100 billion in investments for clean water supplies.
According to the Water and Environmental Hygiene Center, the province currently has 400 water supply constructions, concentrated in both residential and remote areas, and some 10,000 water jars and clean water reservoirs.
With funding from the state, non-governmental organizations, sponsors and ordinary people, Bac Kan Province has met the clean water demands of 70% of the provincial population, including 18,000 people in re-settlement areas.
