Dong Van Karst Plateau: Route No.4 - A Journey to the green land

(TITC) - Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark spreads in four districts of Quan Ba, Yen Minh, Dong Van and Meo Vac of Ha Giang Province. This area is a spectacular and unique combination of soaring peaks and deep gorges. The karst mountains here have an average altitude of more than 1,000m above sea level.

Typical tourism products bring visitors to the "green future"

Tourist route No. 4 entitled "Journey to a Green Future" includes 14 sites, clusters of geological heritage, cultural heritage, rich and diverse natural landscape; Unique heritage types spanning Yen Minh, Dong Van and Meo Vac districts include: The heritage site of Thiet Giao Long pha thach; Sung Mang Knife Craft Village; Lung Phin Hoa ethnic Village; Trung Kien Restaurant; The M-turn; The place where the river was born - Na Luong Cave; Shan Tuyet ancient tea forest of Ngam La; Route 4 information station; Phap Duong Thuong military post; Panoramic stop of Lung Ho; Panoramic stop of Nam Lang canyon; Tay ethnic weaving cooperative of Coc Pang cultural and tourist village; Ba Tien Mountain Waterfall; Khau Ca snub-nosed Langur conservation area - Du Gia welcome gate.

Ha Giang Province has oriented to build the product Route No. 4 with the theme "Journey to a green future" to become a different product in the Geopark area with many heritages, national park biodiversity, rivers, streams, cave systems… Coming here, visitors can enjoy the majestic scenery with cultural, culinary, geological and historical values, rich in identity; admire and experience many natural wonders. This will be a tourism product to compete with the previous 3 tourist routes of the province, and also contribute to the implementation of the plan to turn Yen Minh district into a leisure centre and green ecological urban centre.

Currently, a number of projects have been implemented on the route such as: high-class resorts, forest and streamside cultural villages with products such as streams bathing, trekking, walking in the national park, enjoying the cuisine of Tay and Dao ethnic groups…

Attractive destinations captivate tourists’ attention

M-turn: This is an M-shaped winding road stretching about 3km on the way from Yen Minh to Meo Vac. Looking down from above, this road is like a silky way, squeezing through the majestic mountain space. The M-shaped road is also impressed by the bends of the sleeves, the steep slopes of spectacular shape, which is an interesting check-in point for all visitors.

Na Luong Cave is an attractive new destination that keeps its wild beauty located in Na Luong village, Mau Long commune, Yen Minh district. The first impression with Na Luong cave is the nearly 30 metres wide and 15 metres high of the main entrance, creating a magnificent image, around the cave is an open space and the cave is surrounded by many kinds of vines and precious woods that create a mysterious look. The deeper you go inside Na Luong cave, the more cave branches you will encounter. And depending on each interest, visitors can choose their own branch to explore, and admire beautiful stalactites.

Lung Ho is a beautiful valley crept between the high mountains, possesses both the romantic and majestic beauty of Ha Giang. The whole picture of Lung Ho commune exudes a cool green colour. It is the green colour of the green mountains, the cool green grass of the four seasons. This is a small valley, nestled between high mountains and hills. Here, people live in small peaceful houses, surrounded by gardens, rice fields, and green fields.
