On the 24th and 25th of August, the Trade and Investment Promotion Center of An Giang Province organized a survey group to learn from Can Tho City's exploiting experience with floating rafts and homestays.
Observe and gain knowledge from experiences in tourist areas and attractions
The delegation participated in the survey and gained knowledge from experience at community tourism sites associated with tourism services in Con Son, Bay Bon fish raft, Ngan Long (Homes and camps), and Flying Snakehead Fish (Binh Thuy district, Can Tho City); visit, exchange experiences in building and exploiting homestay type at Vam Xang Homestay, Phi Yen tourist area, Ong De tourist village, etc. (Phong Dien district, Can Tho City).
The objective of the field trip is to strengthen the cooperation and linkages between An Giang province and Can Tho city, in particular, and the Cluster of cooperation and linkages for tourism development in the western Mekong Delta in general. Thus, we exchange and learn from experiences in building, developing, and exploiting specific products of each locality; exchange of experiences in tourism management and promotion; and creating favorable conditions for households exploiting homestay types on Cam Mountain to learn from experience, exchange exploitation methods, conduct research, and supplement homestay types' attached services.
Learning from fishing raft tourism model's past mistakes
At the same time, through the tourism models in the form of fish rafts, householders in Chau Doc raft village will gain more experience and ideas for building and exploiting tourism services and typical products associated with the tourism industry associated with floating rafts on the river, as part of the Colorful Raft Village project at the confluence of the Chau Doc River and An Giang province.
