The Mekong Delta Tourism Association has chosen ten new sites as "typical tourist destinations of the Mekong Delta in 2023," including Tra Su Melaleuca forest eco-tourism area (An Giang); Noc Mang National Historical Site (Bac Lieu); Special National Monument of Nguyen Dinh Chieu's Tomb and memorial site, Hai Van Farm Tourist Site - Vam Ho Bird Sanctuary, TTC Palace Ben Tre, TTC Ben Tre Food Court (04 sites in Ben Tre); Hung King Temple in Can Tho city; Go Thap relic site (Dong Thap province); Ba Om Pond National Scenic Relic Area and Huynh Kha Ecotourism Area (Tra Vinh).
Gao Giong Ecotourism Area (Dong Thap); Monument to Professor - Academician Tran Dai Nghia, Vinh Long Temple of Literature, and Vinh Long Museum (all in Vinh Long province) were re-recognized.
Dong Thap therefore has one certified tourist attraction and one re-recognized as a "Typical tourist destination in the Mekong Delta in 2023," namely the Go Thap relic site and the Gao Giong eco-tourism area.
The Mekong Delta Tourism Association has designated 53 "typical tourist attractions in the Mekong Delta" so far. Every three years, locations are surveyed and voted on.
