The first festival dedicated to the bà ba blouse – the traditional southern Vietnamese blouse, especially in the Mekong Delta region, opened in Hau Giang province on September 29.

Former NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan, former Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh, and Ambassadors and Charge d’Affairs of some countries attended the event.
Highlight of the three-day festival is a fashion show of the traditional blouse of the people in the Mekong Delta region. Other activities include music performances of Don ca tai tu (southern amateur singing), a painting contest, a food fair, folk games, and others.

Vice Chairwoman of the Hau Giang provincial People’s Committee, Ho Thu Anh, said: "The festival is being held for the first time in Hau Giang province. It will introduce a different image of Hau Giang province to the public and promote the local culture, tourism, and economy.”
