Tourists' satisfaction with best support of Da Nang Visitor Center

Domestic and foreign tourists are deeply impressed not only with Da Nang's tourist attractions but also the enthusiastic and accountable support from the Visitor Center under the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Centre.

A South Korean male tourist has used Google Chat to send his appreciation message to the Da Nang Visitor Center for its help as he unfortunately lost his cell phone while he was in Da Nang. He wrote: "You all were all so kind to help me quickly find my lost item. It took you less than an hour to find my lost cell phone that I had left in a Grab taxi. You even lent me a charger for my cell phone. Thank you very much, you all left me with a very beautiful memory in Da Nang."

An Australian tourist used Robyn Parry as his account to send his appreciation message over the internet. He wrote: “Incredible and helpful service. Going above and beyond to offer the best support. The Da Nang Visitor Support Center should be proud of its staff. I really recommend you to come there to ask for help when you need it”.

In his thank-you message, a Japanese tourist wrote: “The staff here are really great! Although we are not good at speaking Vietnamese and English, you were very kind and polite when guiding us. Thanks to that, I was able to reach my destination. Thanks a lot for all you've done!".

"The Da Nang Visitor Center is truly a perfect place for tourists to come to ask for tourism information while they are in the city. Its staff provides enthusiastic support for visitors, thereby helping them choose very suitable and impressive places to visit during their stay in the city. I fall in love with Da Nang as I am really impressed with the center’s lovely staff ", a domestic tourist said.

The above-mentioned messages have been sent by domestic and foreign tourists who expressed their gratitude to the Visitor Center for its maximum support while visiting Da Nang.

Ms. Huynh Thi Thien Nga, who is in charge of managing the Da Nang Visitor Center, said that with the city’s tourism industry gradually recovering from the devastating impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in recent times, the city has recorded a significant increase in tourist arrivals. Therefore, they will inevitably face difficulties. incidents and situations which are beyond their ability to solve. In addition to providing consultations and tourism information for tourists, the center regularly work with functional units to deal with their tourism-related problems, such as losing their way and their property. Besides, all complaints and problems regarding tourism services have been handled quickly and effectively, bringing satisfaction to tourists.

In detail, in late July, the center's staff received a report from the Vinasun Green Taxi company about a forgotten money in its taxi and asked for their help to find its owner. The center quickly worked with relevant units and finally found the tourist who left his money in the taxi. He expressed his heartfelt thanks to the center’s staff for their help in returning his forgotten money.

On June 13, a South Korean tourist lost his wallet with USD 600 and more than VND 1 million in cash in a taxi while travelling from LotteMart to his hotel. He then contacted with the South Korean Consulate-General in Da Nang to ask for help. After receiving this information, the center coordinated with relevant units to find the taxi driver to give the lost wallet back to its owner. The South Korean tourist expressed his gratitude to the center’s staff for their enthusiastic and quick support. Thanks to that, he enjoyed his trip to Da Nang in a convenient and fun way, thereby making him remember Da Nang forever. Furthermore, the center regularly deal with tourism-related problems reported by tourists who left their luggage and personal property in ride-hailing vehicles, at the airport, or other places across the city.

Established in 2013, the Da Nang Visitor Center is under the management of the the municipal Tourism Promotion Center to provide free tourist information and support for tourists. During the first nine months of this year, the Visitor Center at 108 Bach Dang Street along with two the tourist information desks at the airport welcomed 42,475 visitors who come to ask for tourism information, up 54% compared to the same period last year.  Besides, 5,645 visitors called the support centre’s hotline on (0236) 3 550111 while 261 others sent emails and 1,261 anothers sent messages through social networking sites to the center to ask for such information.

 “Thank-you messages, cute gifts, and positive comments or feedback on social media platforms from domestic and foreign tourists for our enthusiastic support become a powerful source of motivation for us. These things will motivate us to make greater efforts to provide timely assistance and the best support for domestic and foreign visitors when they need it during their stay in Da Nang,”, said Ms. Huynh Thi Thien Nga.

“In our efforts to provide enthusiastic guidance and the best positive support for tourists, as well as put the visitor's satisfaction first, the Visitor Center is increasing the importance of its roles and responsibilities in order to contribute to promoting Da Nang as a friendly, safe and welcoming destination for travellers at home and abroad, as well as provide timely support for them while they are in Da Nang,” Nga added.
