Update: 24/10/2023
(TITC) - Even though the Central region including Quang Binh Province is in the rainy season, many tourists still have tours and experience tourism products in the area. This shows that Quang Binh tourism is gradually adapting to climate change – according to information of the Department of Tourism of Quang Binh province on 15th October 2023.

A representative of the Quang Binh Department of Tourism further informed that, on a weekend around mid-October, a group of tourists just had an interesting experience in Ngan Thuy, Le Thuy district, home of beautiful Cha Loi cave system and Coi Da village, where there are grasslands on the vast green steppe.

The heavy rains here are not enough to create floods, but on the contrary, they create waterfalls that collide with large mossy rocks, creating a unique scene in the middle of the jungle.

The leader of the tour organizer said that this is a tourist group of more than 120 people from Vinh Long province. From the South-Western of Vietnam, choosing Quang Binh during the heavy rainy days in mid-October to visit, they want to learn the people and land of Quang Binh during the rainy season, which has its own attractions.

Quang Binh tourism is famous for "blue sea, white sand, golden sunshine" and caves. The rainy season is often not chosen by tourists because flooded zone. Eliminating seasonal tourism and changing the mindset of tourists when thinking about Quang Binh tourism is what the tourism industry and tourism businesses in this locality are aiming for.

Since then, many tourism products in the rainy season and autumn-winter season have been born to create highlights to attract tourists, including: visiting Cha Loi cave and Coi Da valley in the rainy season; launching Tu Lan Lodge and 10 floating house homestays at Tan Hoa Village, Minh Hoa district.

The interesting is that, not only on rainy days but even when there are floods, visitors to Tan Hoa can experience flood season life with local people when staying at floating homestays or kayaking across the flooded grassland in front of Tu Lan Lodge.

Quang Binh is building Tan Hoa Village to become the first weather-adapted tourism village in Vietnam. When the water rises, the house floats. If the road floods, the boat can float. The floating houses are converted into homestays that meet clean, modern, private and safe standards with the support of Oxalis.

At Phong Nha-Ke Bang Tourism Center these days in October, tourist routes and attractions still welcome hundreds visitors/day. The most crowded people are still visitors to Phong Nha cave. Even sitting on a tram running in the rain forest has its own interesting things that many young people choose.

According to the managers of tourist areas, depending on actual weather conditions, they will give recommendations to visitors with the ensuring absolute safety for everyone.

When coming to Quang Binh in the fall-winter season, tourists can enjoy a new, high-class tourist space, suitable for cold, rainy weather in Bang Onsen Spa & Resort in Le Thuy district. Here, soaking in hot mineral spring water and experiencing amenities according to Japanese standards will be unforgettable memories for visitors during the rainy season in the Central region.

Another entertainment and tourism program on this occasion in Quang Binh attracted a large number of tourists and spectators to watch and cheer, especially young people who are passionate about off-road racing.

That is the RFC Vietnam Quang Binh International off-road car racing tournament 2023. The official tournament takes place from 15 to 21 October with 25 terrain races on sand, hills and streams in 3 locations, including Bao Ninh beach (Dong Hoi city), Ngan Thuy commune (Le Thuy district) and Truong Son commune (Quang Ninh district).

During the fall-winter season, Quang Binh tourism industry launched a stimulus program to support visitors and promote tourism market growth. Accordingly, from 1st October, 2023 to 31 December 2023, Quang Binh reduces 10-30% of service prices for tourists when visiting and experiencing areas, spots and tourism products in the localtity.

Travel and tourism businesses also have their own stimulus discount programs that are equally attractive to tourists.
