Bac Ninh: Revenue from the tourism sector rises 47%

In 2023, the northern province of Bac Ninh targets attracting 1.65 million tourist arrivals, an increase of 46% against 2022; earning revenue of more than 1.227 trillion VND, an increase of 47%; and fulfilling 102% of the year’s plan.

The Quan Ho singing program on a boat at the Bac Ninh Quan Ho Folk Theater area (Diem Xa neighborhood, Hoa Long ward) attracts a large number of tourists.

This year, the province focuses on intensifying development of tourism products with those creating high economic value.

In particular, Bac Ninh focuses on developing cultural tourism associated with visiting historical and spiritual cultural relics, festivals, craft villages and architecture at 4 special national relics (Dau Pagoda, But Thap Pagoda, Phat Tich Pagoda; Tombs and temples of Ly Dynasty kings); Ba Chua Kho Temple; Bac Ninh Temple of Literature; and Tam Phu Temple; and tourism associated with Quan Ho cultural heritage values.

The province also attaches importance to developing tourism associated with education and training, scientific research, cultural and sporting and tourism events with conference and seminar events at 4-5 star hotels and developing picnic tourism and agricultural ecology.

The province plans to build a national ecological, resort, cultural and sports complex at Dam - Nam Son tourist area in Bac Ninh city; one Duong River tourism complex in districts and towns of Thuan Thanh, Que Vo, Gia Binh, Tien Du and Luong Tai; and provincial tourist areas in Bac Ninh city, Tu Son city, Thuan Thanh town, Tien Du, Gia Binh, and Yen Phong districts.

It will research and integrate golf courses with provincial tourist areas to continue to enhance the value of this field./.
