According to Mr. Pham Minh Nhut, Vice Chairman of the Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association, despite impressive recovery after the Covid-19 pandemic, Khanh Hoa’s room occupancy in 2023 was still low, averaging about 45-46%.
Currently, rooms of many four-star hotels in Nha Trang are being sold at just over 500,000 VND a room a night (including breakfast for two people) on online room sales sites such as Booking and Agoda.
Mr. Nhut suggested that businesses take measures to build a fixed price system; invest in service quality; build a strong brand; find reliable business partners; provide special services and amenities; develop a suitable booking cancellation policy; and enhance smart advertising and marketing.
According to a report from the Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism, in the first two months of 2024, Khanh Hoa welcomed over 1.5 million tourist arrivals, a 2.7-fold increase compared to the same period of 2023; including more than 855,600 international visitors. Total revenue from tourism was estimated at over 7,686 billion VND.
Mr. Cung Quynh Anh, Deputy Director of the Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism, said that this year, Khanh Hoa strives to welcome 9 million tourist arrivals, earning 41.1 billion VND from tourism.
Right from the beginning of the year, the provincial Tourism Development Steering Committee proposed a plan to organize many large-scale tourism events during the year, along with programs organized by businesses in the area./.
