Ha Long, a famous tourist destination in the northern province of Quang Ninh, aims to build a City of Flowers and Festivals, when this locality is determined to implement two projects of “Ha Long - City of Flowers” associated with “Ha Long - City of Festivals”.
Ha Long is a favorite destination for tourists.
The goal of the city of festivals project is to restore and reorganize the new rice celebration of the Tay people in Dan Chu commune; Dai Phan ceremony of the San Diu ethnic group; Loi Am Pagoda Festival; Cai Lan Temple Festival; and Long Tien Pagoda Festival.
These festivals aim at preserving and promoting traditional cultural values and intangible cultural heritages in the area, associated with the goal of building diverse Ha Long cultural colors to promote to domestic and international friends.
As for the city of flowers project, Ha Long will implement in each phase, with the goal that by 2030, the locality will be known through the identification of seasonal flowers, consistent with the decoration model and landscape of the area.
In the immediate future, in the 2024 - 2025 period, at least three flower routes in the city’s tourist center will be renovated; Ha Long flower park will be upgraded; three new sightseeing spots will be developed.
Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Son, Vice Chairman of the Ha Long People’s Committee said that the flower city project has a total investment capital of 43 billion VND in 2024-2025.
The city will learn from the experience of neighboring localities, such as Uong Bi city with paper flowers, Cam Pha with roses, and Co To with peach blossoms, so as not to waste public investment./.
