Phu Yen - a coastal land in the Central region with beautiful natural landscapes, unique cultural heritage and gentle, hospitable, simple and honest people - has become a typical example of the connection between tourism and peace. From Da Dia Reef, a unique national monument in Vietnam, to Mon Beach - Dien Cape, where the first sunrise on the mainland of the S-shaped strip of land is welcomed, Phu Yen is not only an attractive tourist destination but also a symbol of harmony and sustainable development.

When mentioning Phu Yen, it is impossible not to mention Da Dia Reef, one of the special national monuments of Vietnam. This is a rare geological wonder with prismatic rocks stacked on top of each other, creating a majestic and unique landscape. Da Dia Reef not only attracts tourists by its natural beauty but is also associated with the local cultural and historical story, where people have lived and worked in peace for hundreds of years. This wonder has become a symbol of stability and peace, where people and nature live in harmony. When coming here, visitors not only admire the magnificent beauty but also have the opportunity to learn about the culture and history of the local people, thereby contributing to enhancing mutual understanding among countries.

One of the other prominent destinations of Phu Yen is Mon Beach - Dien Cape. Dien Cape is not only a tourist destination but also a symbol of new beginnings and hope. With the first rays of sunlight rising from the East, this place brings visitors a sense of peace and a new beginning, like a message of peace from nature.

Every year, hundreds of thousands of tourists come to Mon Beach - Dien Cape to experience the first sunrise on the mainland of Vietnam. The brilliant light of the new day on the vast ocean not only brings a beautiful scene but also a moment for people to reflect on peace, compassion and solidarity between nations. Mon Beach – Dien Cape is not only famous for its natural beauty but also the place where people feel most clearly the connection between nature and the soul, between people and peace.

Ms Nguyen Thi Hong Thai, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Phu Yen, informed: In 2023, Phu Yen welcomed more than 3.2 million tourists; in the first 8 months of 2024, the total number of visitors to Phu Yen reached about 2.8 million domestic and international visitors coming to admire the scenic relics of Da Dia Reef and Mon Beach - Dien Cape. These are unique, characteristic and exclusive relics that nature has bestowed upon Phu Yen.

Phu Yen attracts tourists not only by its beautiful landscapes but also by the harmony between people and nature, as well as its commitment to sustainable development. The local government has been implementing numerous policies to preserve and develop tourism in a sustainable manner, ensuring that natural and cultural values are preserved for future generations.

“In the message of World Tourism Day 2024, peace is not just a goal but a real experience in every step of tourists. This further highlights the important role of tourism in protecting sustainable peace values,” emphasized MSc. Phan Thanh Binh.
