Thang Hen Lake means "the bee" in Tay ethnic group's language because of its shape.
With 3,000 m in length and 1,000 m in width, the lake is surrounded by green trees, reflecting on the pure water surface. Visiting the lake in the morning, tourists can contemplate masses of cloud like silky cloths flying in the wind. In addition, there is a wide cave at the head of the lake and water constantly flows out from this cave making an imposing picture.
Thanks to clean environment, abundant food sources, wide water surface surrounded by the high mountains and diversified flora system, the lake becomes home to more than 100 different types of fish.
