The first Da Nang Sandcastle Competition was held on My Khe beach in Da Nang city on May 13, with over 300 people from 70 teams participating.
Each team comprised of between two to six people, which included students from clubs and universities in Da Nang, as well as teams from the US, the UK, Australia, France and New Zealand.
The sand sculptures, which used interesting images, attracted domestic and international visitors.
The event, held by GoPro Camera and Silver Sun Limited Company, aims to create fun opportunities for young people and communicate environmental protection messages, while promoting the beauty of Vietnam’s beaches to tourists.
