Update: 07/06/2012
Vo Trong Nghia has been awarded by World Architecture News (WAN), a world’s prestigious architecture website, as one of the world's 21st century.

The 32-year-old architect was recoginsed for his bamboo constructions, including Wind and Water (wNw) Cafe, wNw Bar, Eco-resort Pavilion in Vietnam and Hill Restaurant in Mexico.

The international competition aims to highlight the 21 leading lights in architecture during the 21st century as well as outstanding, forward-thinking people and organisations who have demonstrated the potential to be the next big thing.

This year’s awards also honoured architects from Norway, China, Germany, and Mexico.

With five winning practices credited last year and eight this year, WAN is over halfway through their search to find the winning twenty one firms. The list will be completed next year.
