As its contribution to the National Sea and Islands Week 2013, the Da Nang Department of Natural Resources and the Environment will organise various activities in the city from 1 - 8 June.
The main focus will be on cleaning up the beaches along Son Tra District’s Hoang Sa Street and Thanh Khe District’s Nguyen Tat Thanh Street. In addition, many seminars for local coastal communities will be held in the city. They will have themes including “Exploiting Maritime Resources in Combination with Protecting the National Resources and the Country’s Sovereignty over its Sea and Islands”, “Viet Nam’s Law of the Sea and its Sovereignty over its Sea and Islands”, “Marine Reserves for the Sustainable Development of Maritime Resources”, and “Viet Nam’s Law of the Sea and the Current Situation in the East Sea”.
Ha Tinh Province will host this year’s event from 1 - 8 June, and it is themed “Together We Take Action for the National Sea”.
