Update: 24/07/2013
Despite many upheavals, Dai Hung pottery kiln in Binh Duong province has maintained the traditional craft of making earthenware jars for 150 years.

Located in Tuong Binh Hiep village, Thu Dau Mot City, Binh Duong province, it specialises in making different kinds of jars for agricultural and fisheries production and daily use. Each day, it makes around 300 products for western provinces near Cambodia and Thailand

In the 17-18th century, the kiln, first owned by a Chinese, has been up-and-down many items ever since.

It once dissolved because people said that it had caused environmental pollution.

In October 2006, the kiln was recognized as a provincial level relics thanks to the great effort made by its fifth owner Bui Van Giang to preserve and protect the craft.

Ceramics is a renowned craft in Binh Duong province and the Dai Hung pottery kiln is just a case in point.
