The Viet Hung Urban Development and Investment Joint Stock Company (Vihajico) said it will begin construction of an 8.2 billion USD ecological urban centre in Hung Yen province in July. Vihajico General Director, Dao Ngoc Thanh, said the real estate market is forecast to warm up at ecological urban centres in the years to come and that is the reason why his company poured huge investment to early catch this trend.
Covering 500 ha in Van Giang district, the Eco Park is expected to become the first ecological city in Vietnam, with almost 22 percent of its area zoned off for tree planting and lakes – the highest rate in the country’s new urban centres.
The Eco Park will feature a commercial area, an old quarter, a residential area, a golf course, lakeside villas and other areas.
Thanh said the company is now building a waterworks to ensure sufficient supply of clean water for the future urban centre, in addition to a waste water treatment plant.
Vihajico will also invest 1.5 billion VND in studying a water environment control and treatment system inside the park.
