The Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) in collaboration with the provincial People’s Committee has inaugurated the new passenger terminal of Vinh Airport in central Nghe An province.
The new terminal spans 11,700 square metres and includes 26 check-in counters and 4 boarding gates.
The business lounge alone covers a 230 square metre area and has been designed to make traveling on domestic flights connecting Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Danang City to Vinh more enjoyable.
In addition, aircraft parking areas, access roads and visitor parking areas have also been opened.
Flights of the national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines (VNA) will start arriving at the new terminal on February 1.
VNA has been operating 10 round-trip flights per week from Hanoi to Vinh, 21 round-trip flights per week from Ho Chi Minh City to Vinh and 5 round-trip flights per week from Danang to Vinh.
The airline has announced it will add 22 additional one-way flights from Hanoi to Vinh and 89 one-way flights on the HCM City-Vinh route.
