Korea supports climate change adaptation program

On March 19, 2015, in Hanoi, Deputy Minister of Finance Truong Chi Trung and Vice President of Export-Import Bank of Korea (Eximbank) Yim Seong Hyeog has signed a credit agreement worth US$ 25 million.

Representatives of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and leaders of Dong Nai provincial People’s Committee have attended the signing ceremony.

Mr Truong Duc Tri, Deputy Director General of Department of Meteorology, Hydrology and Climate Change said, along with the participation of Eximbank (Korea), the Support Programme to Respond to Climate Change (SP-RCC Program ) have also received continuous support from other partners such as the World Bank, JICA (Japan), AFD (French), Canada, Australia for many years. This demonstrated that Vietnam's efforts in the development and implementation of policy action on climate change as committed. Therefore, the forum for policy dialogue on climate change among the ministries, donors, non-governmental organizations and the business community has been formed.
